World Heritage Sites along the Silk Roads: Mountains of Pamir- the ‘Roof of the World’

Tajikistan National Park

Tajikistan is a Central Asian country located on the silk roads with about 9,537, 645 population. The country is home to various cultures, religions, and natural beauties. Among other natural resources, Tajik National Park where laid most of the mountains of Pamir known as the ‘roof of the world’ as it has the highest mountain ranges on the Eurasian continent. Moreover, it also has been recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO, and according to the reported data, it is the 3rd highest mountain ecosystem in the world.
