SUN Secretariat and the officials of the Canadian University Dubai including President Dr.Karim Celli had an online conference last Thursday evening. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the upcoming conference that is expected to be held in Dubai, UAE. Although usually, the General Assembly of SUN and the International Conference of IASS held separately two conferences expect to hold together as a five-day conference. 

The Canadian University Dubai, a member university of SUN, co-host the conference with the International Association of Silk Roads Studies, Silk-Road Universities Network Secretariat, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Two parties, CUD, and the SUN secretariat agreed to hold the conference from February 20 to February 24, 2022. During the meeting, Dr. Hwang – the Secretary-General of SUN, and Dr. Karim, the President of Canadian University Dubai, confirmed that the ‘ Role of Higher Education in the Era of New Technologies: Artificial Intelligent and Big Data ' as the overall theme of the conference.

Coordinators of GA and IASS conference of SUN and the CUD officials will have their second meeting in the third week of May to have further discussion.
